Asata Maisé is an evolving passion project established by Asata Maisé Beeks throughout the span of a 15 year garment construction exploration. The project reflects the designer's core values of integrity, beauty, and authenticity through the means of exceptional fabrications and attentively selected materials.

Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Asata Maisé Beeks is an independent fashion designer that has explored garment making as a vessel to express her creativity and, therefore, her spirituality as a practice of evolving simultaneously with her work. The designer is an advocate for preserving tradition through storytelling with handmade, slow fashion. She believes we all deserve beauty, quality, connection, and equity in our clothing experience.
This project is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on DelawareScene.com.
